about this painting: As a young girl Liki travelled all around her country with her parents. Liki’s sister brought her to Bidyadanga. Liki has painted her country near Punmu. The place depicted here is called Kiriwirri, which means Jili or living water place. This country is filled with Junta (bush food). There is a big Junta (mud flat). There is a big Carla (mud flat) and lots of tali (sand dunes). In wet season this warla floods.
