about this painting: Janie paints Wangurnu, a rockhole site north of Patyarr. In ancestral times there were 2 ladies making seed cakes. A man came along who had a kangaroo – is was already cooked. He offered the ladies some meat, and the ladies offered the man some seed cakes. The women danced with the seed cakes in their hands.
