about this painting: This painting depicts designs associated with the site of Tjukula, near where the community now stands. The arc shapes in the work represent the hills and sandhills that surround the lake. There is a clay pan near the site which fills with water after rain. A number of women camped in the area gathering edible berries known as desert raisin. They also made hair string belts. They later travelled north towards Kintore.
