about this painting: This painting tells the story of an ancestor who travelled south from a small hill to Mt Liebig. As he travelled he picked seeds and placed them in food carriers, one of which he carried on his head. The seeds he picked grows a plant that does well in spinifex or mulga country. The seed can be ground in to a paste and is used to cure stomach ache. The U shapes in this painting represent the women collecting the seeds. Oval shapes represent where they carry the seeds, and the straight lines represent digging sticks.
A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies this lovely work providing comprehensive detail of the story.
