The design elements in Emily’s paintings are inspired by the ancestral dreaming stories, which belong to her traditional country situated north of Utopia in Central Australia.  These stories include: bush tomato (represented by the circular patterns), wild bush orange and Awelye (ceremonial body paint designs associated with these dreaming stories).
