Una Ratara was born in 1945 and is married to Desmond Phillipus, making Una the daughter in law of world reknowned artist Long Jack Tjakamarra Phillipus. He was pivotal in the history of the Papunya mural. Una paints the dreaming of her totem, the Possum, as well as the story of the Bush Onion. She paints in the dot style of other Central Desert artists, but uses a wide range of bright, non-traditional colours.
