Sadie Singer was a talented artist, born in 1950, passing away in 2014.

Sadie was born at Lambina Station on the outskirts of Marla Bore; she is remembered as a strong cultural leader within the APY Lands and an outstanding role model for all women.

Sadie was a mother to six children, she was also a school teacher, reknowned contemporary artist, one of the first remote Aboriginal Health Workers, and the first female Police Aide on the APY Lands.

Sadie established Iwantja Arts with friend and artist Alec Baker in the early nineteen eighties, she was a prolific printmaker. Throughout her life Sadie worked passionately to see progress and equality for Anangu across the APY Lands.
