Nora was born in Yampil, south east of the Mantamaru Community c. 1947. She is a well respected traditional owner and has been painting for several years.

She still lives at Warburton and is painting for the art centre (Tjulyuru).

About Warburton:

Warburton is the remotest settlement of any size in Australia. Located in the heartlands of the Western Desert region of Australia, it is the meeting point for about 2000 Aboriginal people spread over some 11 extremely remote communities, but with one language common to most – Ngaanyatjarra – which gives its name to their Lands.
