Neville McArthur, a Spinifex Elder, was born in Warburton circa 1938, in the Great Victoria Desert, Western Australia. He related his first encounter with Europeans, and his experiences at the Warburton mission, to anthropologist Scott Cane. Neville an Aboriginal artist, paints the country of his younger days south west of Warburton.
