Lorna Ward Napanangka was born in 1961 at Papunya, the famous birthplace of the Western Desert dot-painting movement.  She is the daughter is Timmy Payungka Tjapangati, who was one of the first generation artists.  Lorna began painting 1996 at Kintore.  She often paints the traditional ceremonial site of Marrapinti.
