Andrew Spencer Tjapaltjarri was born circa 1955 at Mount Wedge, near Papunya, in the Northern Territory of Australia, and belongs to the Pintupi group. Andrew is the community Policeman and president of the Kintore council. He is married to Marlene Nampitjinpa, daughter of Nancy Ross, and has two children.
He paints the men’s sacred Tingari dreaming, and the story of two wanampi (Snakes) who fought at the site of Karrinyarra (Mount Wedge).
