about this painting: This painting tells the story of an old man (blue tongue lizard) that lived on a hill with his two Jangala sons.  The old man would feign blindness and send the 2 boys hunting in search of meat.  While they were gone he would hunt and eat anything he could find and eat it before the boys returned.  One day the boys returned with a kangaroo that was sacred to the blue tongue lizard man (unbeknown to the boys). In his anger the man decided to punish the sons and the next time they went out hunting he set fire to the ground which chased them for many miles. Exhausted the boys were finally overcome by the fire.

A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies this lovely work providing comprehensive details of the story.
