about this painting: Hilda paints Desert Fringe-rush Dreaming, which is a grass with an edible seed.  The seeds are traditionally ground on a large stone with a smaller stone.  This flour is mixed with water to make damper cakes which are cooked and eaten.  This Dreaming is associated with a place called Jaralypari, north of Yuendumu.
